Bluufin was engaged to design, engineer and commission a gold doré refining facility in East Africa with a processing capacity of 4 tonnes per day. The scope covered the full project lifecycle from initial feasibility assessment through to final commissioning and operator training.
Bluufin managed the equipment specification and procurement, civil works coordination with the local EPC contractor, and the installation of all safety and compliance systems in line with international standards. The facility achieved LBMA-aligned processing protocols within four months of go-live.
Copper-Nickel Flotation & Smelting Complex — Southern Africa

Bluufin provided end-to-end consulting and engineering services for the construction of an integrated flotation and smelting complex processing polymetallic copper-nickel sulphide ore in Southern Africa. The project was commissioned by a mid-tier mining company seeking to move from raw ore export to in-country beneficiation.
The plant now processes 12,000 tonnes of ore per month with a recovery rate exceeding 91% for copper and 88% for nickel. A precious metals recovery circuit captures gold and PGM by-products from the flotation tailings, adding a significant secondary revenue stream.
